Madison Public Library COVID 19 Update

Madison, SD— To keep our customers and staff safe and mitigate the spread of COVID-19 in our community, the Madison Public Library will be closed to public access until further notice.  All programs, meeting room bookings, interlibrary loan services are suspended indefinitely.

 

The library is offering Curbside Pick Up.  What does this mean?

Call the library 605-256-7525, email us madisonpubliclibrary@gmail.com, or place holds via our catalog to request your items and arrange a time for pick up during staffed hours.  Staff will be available for questions by phone or email, Monday – Thursday 10a.m. - 6 p.m. & Friday – Saturday 10a.m. - 5p.m.

 

For the safety of staff and you, all materials that are returned to the library are being quarantined for a period of 3 days before returning to circulation.

Can I still check out library materials?

Yes!  We are offering curbside Pick Up.  Call the library 605-256-7525, email us madisonpubliclibrary@gmail.com, or place holds via our catalog to request your items and arrange a time for pick up during staffed hours.

 

Can I return library materials?

Yes! Our outdoor book drop is open 24/7 & when the library is staffed there is a book cart at the door for more sensitive materials like DVDs.

 

I have a question about my account. Is there anyone that can help me?
Yes! Staff will be available for questions by phone or email, Monday – Thursday 10a.m. - 6 p.m. Friday – Saturday 10a.m. - 5p.m.

 

What about overdue fines?

During this time, no fines accessed to items checked out before or during this closure.
